Family and individuals with Spina Bifida will gather from 1 to 5:30 p.m. for a covered dish dinner, kayaking, archery, and games at TAASC's 22-acre Adventure Center. TAASC has fishing equipment available. Bring your own bait!!

Schedule:
1 p.m. Arrival
1 to 3 p.m. Kayaking, games, archery, fishing
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Dinner (Please bring a side dish or dessert!!)
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Ohio Wildlife Center Raptor Show
5:30 p.m. Picnic concludes

Last year this event raised over $15,000 for local families and individuals who are affected by Spina Bifida. We hope this year's event will be even bigger and better!

The 5K is held on the beautiful Genoa trail. Flat, shaded, and perfect for a walk, run, or roll, this event is an amazing way to show your support for those affected by SB in the Central Ohio area.

Who Should Attend: Educators, Administrators, Parents and others interested in Inclusive Strategies and Successful Outcomes.

Agenda:
8:30 a.m. Registration

8:45 a.m. Welcome

9 a.m. “Dwelling in Possibility”: The Values, Beliefs & Habits of Inclusive Schools
This session is inspired by the words of celebrated poet, Emily Dickinson, who wrote,“I dwell in possibility.” In this session, Dickinson's reflection will be applied to our work ininclusive schools. The history and current state of inclusive schooling will be explored. Dr. Kluth will also discuss a vision for the future of this social justice movement and specifically what beliefs, values, and practices associated with inclusion will help educators succeed in educating, challenging, motivating, and supporting all learners.

11:30 a.m. Lunch

12:30 p.m. “A Land We Can Share”: Access to the Literate Community for ALL
Come and learn about how we can give all students - including those with significant Disabilities - access to the literate community. Dr. Kluth will explore how many learnershave been excluded from literacy experiences that are inclusive, rich and challenging. Participants will also learn some strategies for including and supporting students with disabilities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities. Ideas for enhancing skills in comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary will be highlighted.

3 p.m. Wrap Up ** Certificates of attendance available – 4 contact hours for the day
